MARTIM RAMOS

Martim Ramos is a visual artist and PhD candidate in Performative Arts and Moving Image at the Faculty of Fine Arts (Lisbon University). He has an MA in Photography (RCA, London) and a degree in History of Art (FCSH-NOVA).

He has published in magazines as Aint-Bad, Le Monde, Japan Times, Serafina, Time Magazine, Libération, Público, Expresso, Time Out e Jornal I. He was the resident photographer and Image Editor at Obscena – Performative Arts Magazine. He was a member of the photographers’ collective Kameraphoto.

His work features in the following books: Future Archive [Folium, 2022], The Lesson of the Vine [Rut Blees Luxemburg, The Everyday Press, 2019], Um Diário da República [Kameraphoto, 2011], A State of Affairs [Kameraphoto, 2009], 450 [Kameraphoto, 2009] e Lusofonia [Kameraphoto, 2007]. Published the book melancholia, co-directed the documentary Othon and is part of MAAT’s collection.
