Atelier de Lisboa is a Atelier de Lisboa is a Visual Arts Center and a Photography School located in Alvalade, Lisbon. Since its foundation in 2006, Atelier de Lisboa has centered its pedagogical focus on the development of photographic work from an authorial perspective. We make sure our students broaden their vision on the contemporary practices and the history of photography, encouraging them to claim their own artistic autonomy.

We offer a modular structure, based on tutorial and personalized teaching, guided by our excellent teaching staff. This allows students to choose their own curriculum according to their technical and artistic interests. In addition to Project Courses, we offer Theoretical and Technical Studies, in a selection that varies from year to year. All courses are directly informed by the practice and expertise of each of our professors.

The main purpose of the Visual Arts Center is to support the development of artistic projects, the production of exhibitions, and the production and sale of photography books. In the year that Atelier de Lisboa celebrates 15 years of activity, we are developing a series of events that seek to consolidate our position as a reference space for photographic and artistic production in Portugal.
