This Course has the duration of one school year.

Throughout this period the participants will develop an authorial project which will take the shape of either a book or an exhibition.

One of this programme's main focus is the ongoing production and the regular presentation of works and images, thus reinforcing the importance of the process. Experimentation is key, so that any attempts and mistakes are welcomed as central to the serendipity of the proposed practices. With that in mind, it is adamant to promote a collective dynamic of participation and exchange, and a critical commitment towards reciprocal discussion and analysis of everyone's work.  

The course is divided into three main blocks that keep shifting throughout the year.

- Histories of Photography: a series of 8 conversations around photography. Each of these classes proposes a dwelling through a given subject, evoking and analysing different photographic manifestations, readings and possibilities. 

- Invited artists: a series of six lectures by invited artists presenting their works and talking about their practices. The two last invitees will also view and comment on the works produced by the participants, with their final project and presentation in mind.

- Practical classes: these classes will focus on the practical production of the participants. They will favour the viewing and analysis of the ongoing projects, which are expected to be shown and assembled regularly as temporary installations of work in progress throughout the year.

Calendar:
The sessions will take place at Atelier de Lisboa every Thursday.
Except on the 21 and 28 December 2023, 25 April, 30 May and 13 July 2024.
There are 4 extra sessions that will be scheduled to prepare the exhibition at the end of the course.

The group will have a meximum of 10 students.

Language:
The sessions and tutorials with Martim Ramos and with the guests will be in English.

A mensalidade dos cursos de projecto inclui, sem qualquer custo adicional, a possibilidade de utilização de: Laboratório Preto e Branco, Laboratório Digital, Sala de Leitura e Espaços de Trabalho.

Laboratório Preto e Branco:
O Atelier de Lisboa tem um Laboratório Preto e Branco, disponível para utilização pelos alunos de projecto, para o desenvolvimento dos seus trabalhos.
A utilização do laboratório não tem custos adicionais e poderá ser utilizado livremente de acordo com os horários de utilização (segunda a quinta-feira, das 15h00 às 22h00), mediante a reserva do espaço no calendário de utilização. A aquisição das películas e do papel fotográfico são da responsabilidade de cada aluno.

Laboratório Digital:
O Atelier de Lisboa tem um Laboratório Digital, disponível para utilização pelos alunos de projecto, para o desenvolvimento dos seus trabalhos.
A utilização do laboratório não tem custos adicionais e poderá ser utilizado livremente de acordo com os horários de utilização (segunda a quinta-feira, das 15h00 às 22h00), mediante a reserva do espaço no calendário de utilização. A aquisição de papel para a impressão é da responsabilidade de cada aluno.

Sala de Leitura:
A colecção de Livros do Atelier de Lisboa está disponível para consulta e trabalho, para os alunos de projecto, no horário das 15h00 às 19h00 de segunda a quinta-feira.
No horário das 19h00 às 23h00, de segunda a quinta-feira, a consulta de livros não poderá interferir com as aulas a decorrer.

Espaços de Trabalho:
O espaço do Atelier de Lisboa está disponível para os alunos trabalharem, sem restrições no horário das 15h00 às 19h00, de segunda a quinta-feira.
No horário das 19h00 às 23h00, de segunda a quinta-feira, a utilização do espaço está condicionado aos espaços disponíveis que não interfiram com as aulas a decorrer.
