Rodrigo Cardoso was born in Lisbon (1973), where he lives and works. He graduated in photography from Ar.Co – Center for Art and Visual Communication. Between 2017 and 2022 attended the Atelier de Lisboa encouraging him to develop his own personal work, publishing his first book Colosso, in 2019. He completed a postgraduate studies at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Lisbon in 2025.
With over twenty years of professional experience, he has built a solid and recognised career, primarily in editorial/ publishing, an area in which he specialises and where he stands out for his distinctive visual language. His work has been published in numerous international magazines and platforms, establishing him as a reference for the way he combines technical rigor and aesthetic sensitivity.
Since 2021 he has regularly exhibited in group exhibitions: Looking in Different Ways, CCCTV, Torres Vedras, 2021; Colosso, Casa dos Cubos, Tomar, 2021; Outros Mundos, Pavilion 31, Lisbon, 2022; Corpo-Memória, Procur.arte, Lisbon, 2025.
