Collective Tutoring
Coordination Martim Ramos

WHAT ARE THEY?
This new program by Atelier de Lisboa proposes the creation of a collective working group for critical analysis of ongoing projects. The goal is to bring together a diverse group of photographers who can benefit from regular meetings to present and discuss their creations.
This initiative seeks to generate synergies among people committed to their artistic work and who find in sharing and discussing images the necessary stimulus to advance their creations and careers.
The program will also allow them to explore the ability to articulate ideas and discourses, both about the work created and the ones observed.

HOW DO THEY WORK?
In each session, participants must present work in progress to be constructively discussed by the group. All participants must participate in the critique of others, thus creating a context for sharing, reflection, and improvement.
Each participant will have 30/45 minutes for the presentation and collective discussion of their work, depending on the number of attendees. The sessions will be monitored and managed by the course coordinator, who will also contribute with his observations. In addition to the course coordinator, other Atelier de Lisboa tutors will participate in the sessions on a rotating basis, thus providing a greater diversity of feedback and expanding the creative possibilities of each project.

WHO ARE THEY FOR?
This program is designed for anyone who develops a recurring artistic practice and feels the need to share their work and creative processes in a context of constructive criticism and reflection.
Artistic practice, which is so often a solitary activity, finds in this program dynamics of interaction that we regularly find ourselves deprived of.
It should be noted that this program will be particularly relevant for those who, having already participated in photography courses (or other artistic practices) and, not feeling the urgent need to revisit the traditional course model, feel the desire to make their practice less isolated and disconnected: here we will have a place for meeting, sharing, discussing, learning, and progress.
